Aberdeen Judo Club has been running for over 65 years and is an excellent place to learn the art of judo.

The club has produced many players to Scottish and British medal level, also gaining gold medals two years running in The Canada Cup.  We have an active Veterans group, one of which won bronze at the 2014 IJF World Veterans Championships.

In the Special Needs section, we have players who have won medals from regional, national and international competitions.

Accolades aside, the club offers a friendly, respectful atmosphere for beginners and experts alike where everyone is welcome as long as they're willing to work hard, learn and (if they so wish) progress through the judo grading syllabus.

Aberdeen Judo Club wishes you a Merry Christmas and we look forward to seeing you back on the mat from 8th  January 2019.

Well done and congratulations to Daniel Whyte who gained the necessary points needed for his Dan grade/black belt at the November National Grading in Livingston.  Daniel won two of his three initial contests with Ippons which meant he had accrued enough points for his black belt.  Daniel was then offered a line up.  A line up (a minimum of 3 players) consists of back to back contests with no breaks, where you need to win by Ippon before progressing on to the next contestant.  Daniel won all three contests in his line up.
